How do I get more involved?
How do I meet the people?
Where is this church going in the future?
How do I become a member?
If you are asking any of these questions, then plan to visit with Pastor Rick and members of our church in a safe and welcoming atmosphere. We invite you to attend our New Member gatherings which are held several times a year. The dates are noted in the Messenger and the weekly bulletin. For more information call the church office at 543-7850.
What does it mean to be a member of our congregation? It means you profess before God and this community that you want to grow in your faith and commitment to being a disciple of Jesus Christ; you graft yourself onto this “body of Christ” and its corporate discipleship journey; and you promise to participate in the life of this congregation through your prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness.
Prayer:
You commit to praying regularly to God for your own life, for your family and others, for the church, and for the world, seeking to ever deepen and develop your prayer and spiritual practice.
Presence:
You commit to regularly attending worship; participating in sharing, study and ministry groups; being consciously present when interacting with others; and staying connected when circumstances keep you from being physically present.
Gifts:
You commit to giving joyfully and generously of your time, talent, and material resources for the building of God’s Kingdom, both out in the world and in your heart.
Service:
You commit to lifting up and loving your neighbor in all you do, through the activities offered by this congregation and out in the community, so that God’s dream for us all may become glorious reality.
Witness:
All persons who have been baptized, regardless of denomination, are welcomed into membership of our church. If you haven’t been baptized, please see Pastor Rick and he will help you begin your process of preparation.
