Family Ministries

We welcome families of all types at SLOUMC and strive to provide social activities and opportunities for spiritual growth for both parents and children, including: book studies, outings, Parent’s Night Out, and other gettogethers.

Here’s the schedule for 2008:

April 27, 3:30 - Homecoming Dance in the MAC

May 3, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. - UMCC Carnival

May 9, 6:30 p.m. - Pajama Party and storytelling

May 11, 9 & 11 a.m. - Mother’s Day services featuring children’s performances and
Family Worship

May 18, 1:00 - Family Hike up Islay Hill

June 22, 1:00 - Bike ride on Bob Jones Trail

July 20, noon - 3:00 - Kayaking in Morro Bay and picnic in the park

July 27 - Church Picnic

August 17, 4:00 - Beach bonfire at Port San Luis

September (TBA) - Family camping in Pismo

October 26, 5 - 7 p.m. - Pizza dinner and “Trunk or Treating”

November 9, 1:00 - Bowling at Mustang Lanes

November (TBA) - Advent Wreath Craft

December 7 - Christmas Caroling

December 14 - 9:00 & 11:00 Christmas Musical
